All Aboard!! On The Chattanooga Choo Choo!

Since we had a long weekend we decided to take the boys to Chattanooga. They are huge train fans and we knew they would enjoy it. We bought a package that included 2 nights 3 days at the Choo Choo hotel where we slept in a train car, tickets to the Tennessee Aquarium, Discovery Children's Museum, Rock City, and the Model Train Museum. It was an awesome trip and although it was freezing, the boys had a blast.

Day 1- We arrived in Chattanooga and picked up our tickets in the morning. We went to ride the incline railway to the top of the mountain. The boys got a kick out of that. After we came back down we decided to go to Rock City while it was sunny (it rained every day after that). It was really pretty and the boys loved all of the caves and water falls. They especially loved the swinging bridge which Brent proceeded to jump on and scare me to death as we were walking.
When we checked in to our train car room we got tickets for the boys to get free engineer hats from the gift shop so we went and got those. I think Aubrey's was glued to his head from then on. Eli's was a little big as you can see in the picture so he did not wear his as much since he could not see! After dinner we went swimming. Unfortunately the heated indoor pool was an out door walk from our train car so we had to get all bundled up to walk there and back. It was a pretty funny site.

Day 2- We got up and went to an awesome breakfast buffet at the hotel and then caught the shuttle to the Tennessee Aquarium. The boys always love seeing fish and especially sharks so they enjoyed it but I have to say it did not compare to the new Georgia Aquarium~ The pic of them laying down is a cave where they could crawl in and lay down and watch the fish go by. After the Aquarium we went back to the hotel for some more swimming and then walked through the model train museum. That night we went to CiCi's for dinner which is a favorite at our house!

Day 3- We got up and went swimming right after breakfast since we had to check out at 11. We took the shuttle again to the Discovery Children's Museum. The boys loved the water exhibit where you create a boat and let ot float around. Eli enjoyed just pouring water in the different contraptions and making them turn etc. Aubrey loved the climbing things and he and daddy got to build a car together and make it go around a big track. Eli liked the big blocks that form into and arch (of course he liked the knocking down part best.) I do not have many pics of the museum because my battery went dead.
After a full day at the museum, we headed home and got back about 6pm. Overall it was a great trip and although we are tired we truly enjoyed ourselves.
The pics above are all out of order but hopefully you can figure out what was taken where.
