Long trip to PA (July 2007)....Part 1

We left on Thursday the 12th to go to Altoona,PA. It is a 13 hour drive. We went mainly to see my grandparents. On the way there we spent the night in Kingsport Tennessee and we got to meet up with a dear college friend of Missy's. She is Michele Wilder and she has a beautiful little boy named Seth who is 2 months younger than Nathaniel. It was great to see her after only talking by email over the last 10 years!
We got to Altoona late Friday evening. Nathaniel enjoyed driving on our rest area breaks.
On Sunday after church we got to take the boys to Horseshoe Curve to watch trains. They got to see a passenger train and a Freight train go around the huge curve up on the mountain. They also got a kick out of the tram that took us up and down the mountain. It was a gorgeous day with the temp around 75 degrees.Please read all the posts below and view the pics since I had to spread this over 3 posts to include everything!!
