Long trip to PA (July 2007)....Part 3

On Wednesday we went to a Theme Park called Idlewild. It was about an hour and a half from Altoona. It was an awesome park for kids and the boys had a blast. They both said their favorite ride was the hand cars. We rented a wagon for the big boys for when they got tired but Nate also enjoyed riding in it with them. Nathaniel loved the carousel and kept hitting the horse and giggling like he was trying to say giddy-up. They also had a storybook forest where they had nursery rhyme characters and they were celebrating Christmas in July. The boys got to sit on Santa's lap in the middle of the summer!
On Thursday we went to my Grandma's house so the boys could see her dog Jasmine. She is a darling Lhasa Apsa (spelling?) and she loved playing with the boys. After playing with her for awhile we went over to the nursing home to have lunch with Pappy Doebler. He enjoyed the frozen custard we brought him!

We got up at 6am Friday morning and left for home. It was a long drive but we stopped to ride ponies and eat at Mr. Gattie's in Pigeon Forge. Eli has been wanting to ride a horse for awhile now so he got a kick out of riding the white pony named Little Joe. (The picture would not come through so Aubrey is shown on pony) Aubrey rode a gray pony named Smokey. We also stopped at Bass Pro Shop and looked at all of the boats etc. to get some exercise. We got home at about midnight on Friday night. Boy are we all exhausted!!
