Happy 1st Birthday Nathaniel!

Nathaniel had his 1st birthday party at our house today after church. He had vaccinations on Friday and has been running fever all weekend so I was afraid he would feel bad for his party but he did wonderfully. I made him a red, yellow, and blue caterpillar cake and he got his own little section. It was yellow so of course he was covered in yellow icing! At first he just sampled a little on his fingers but then he finally dug in and at one point even smashed the cake into his face!
All the aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents were here to celebrate with us along with Mrs. Amelia from church. Nathaniel had plenty of help opening his gifts from all of his cousins and 2 big brothers. He got several new outfits, a new umbrella stroller, bath tub toys, shoes, books, and all kinds of toys like xylophones, a baseball game, a corn popper and many more!He loved all of his toys and has played a little bit with everything. One of his favorite things is his rocking horse that he got a day early. It makes clomping sounds and neighs when you push his ears. He seemed to really enjoy being the center of attention. I cannot believe my last baby is one year old! It is bittersweet.Stay tuned for his one year pics from Portrait Innovations.
