Mickey Blue Eyes

This is Mickey Blue Eyes. He appeared at our house the other day when a salesman almost ran over him. He was in the middle of the road and the guy saw my kids out playing and brought him to them. He was so tiny and it was supposed to freeze so even though Aubrey is allergic to cats I agreed to bring him in and try to find him a home. Well we found him a home but after having him for a few days we noticed that Aubrey's allergies were not acting up. When I looked online I found that there are a few cats that are better for allergies and one of them is a Ragdoll Cat.When I clicked on the name the picture it brought up was just like this cat. Come to find out these cats are long haired but only one layer as opposed to the 3-4 layers on a Persian or Himalayan. They have less dander and are actually known to be more layed back than most cats. Of course the boys have always wanted a cat but this is the
first one we have had in the house since Aubrey was a baby. So, since Aubrey has been doing ok with his allergies we have agreed to keep him for a month on a trial period. The boys named him Mickey Blue eyes because he has dark ears like Mickey Mouse and bright blue eyes. They could not agree so we made it one long name. Thankfully Aunt Amber works at a Vet and is going to get Mickey's shots as the boys Christmas gift this year. He has been with us 2 weeks now and so far Aubrey is doing fine with him. All 3 boys love him although Nate tries to pick him up by the tail! Jake seems to like him. The picture above it looked like he was trying to tell Jake a secret. It shows also how little Mickey is. Jasmine is nervous around him and avoids him if possible. We think he is between 6-8 weeks old. The lady who was going to tae him will still get him if Aubrey is allergic but we are praying that is not the case since they already love him so much.
Mickey Blue Eyes is an awesome movie by the way for those of you have never seen it. Brent & I watched it on our honeymoon night.
