Well even with a bunch of kids covered in sand and some overcast skies April still had a beautiful beach wedding. The weather was supposed to be horrible but God held back the rain until after the ceremony! It was simple but very pretty. There were about 50-60 people there and Brad and Amber brought their dog Brock(Brent says that classifies us for "My Redneck wedding"), but he was very well behaved. April looked gorgeous and they were very happy. The kids all did well and seemed to be getting along well. At the end instead of doing a unity candle they did a sand pouring ceremony which was really cool. They took turns pouring colored sand into a pretty glass vase and as the sand mixed it symbolized the joining of 2 families since they both have kids etc.
The reception was at a restaurant on the beach called the "Hangout". They had a live country music band and she had a small but delicious cake and they did the garter and bouquet there. It was fun and the rain held off until it was time to serve the cake on the outside deck! It was a very nice ceremony and I think we all enjoyed seeing April that happy for the first time in a long time.
