We woke up at the crack of dawn since we go to the early service at church now. The boys were so excited about their baskets. They got movies, goggles and floaties (Nate) for the pool, Chic-fil-A gift cards, gum, candy and Aubrey & Eli got some new pump packs for their insulin pumps. Aubrey had an Alabama Football one and Eli had a Scooby Doo camo one. After breakfast we went to church but we had nursery so we missed the service. Brent and I were talking and we have worked in the nursery every Easter Sunday for about 5 years straight now! Oh, well! At least we got to show the kids version of the Easter story on video which helped them to remember the true meaning of Easter.
After church we went to Grandma and Grandpa's house where the Easter Bunny had hidden some more eggs for them to hunt. They had fun hunting in their big yard with lots of hiding places. Eli found the $10 egg again! We have decided he should treat us all to dinner one night! After the egg hunt we had a delicious ham lunch with potato casserole, green beans, deviled eggs and strawberries.
They ended the day with Grandma and Grandpa with dyeing eggs on the screened porch. I did not post those picks since we had to strip them down to keep from getting their church clothes stained. They had a wonderful day and are now curled up watching their new movies and recovering from the sugar high!
Happy Resurrection Day!
