Since Brent had a conference in Atlanta we decided to tag along for the week. We started out on Monday by visiting the World of Coke. The boys loved the 4D movie, the polar bear and especially the tasting room! Eli loved the Cherry Coke Zero! We spent the night at my Aunt's outside of Atlanta and got up Tuesday morning and went to Six Flags. The boys had so much fun and it was a perfect day to go. It was overcast and 85 degrees so it was not crowded and we did not wait in line long at all. Nate's favorite thing was the Thomas the Tank area. Aubrey loves the water rides like Thunder River and Eli got really brave and enjoyed the Roller Coasters. He even rode the Mind Bender which goes upside down 3 times! Brent & I got to ride Goliath while some teacher friends watched the boys. It was awesome and we only waited about 20 minutes!
Our hotel room was at the Omni which is in the CNN center. It was so nice. Our room overlooked Centennial Park. We were in walking distance of the park and the boys played in the fountains almost every day along with playing on the 2 playgrounds in the park. We also were able to eat in the food court at CNN each day which saved us a lot of walking and money. We had such a great time all week. The next post has the 2nd half of our trip!
