JDRF Baseball night!

On Friday night we went to the Barron's (our local minor league team) game. They had the picnic deck reserved for JDRF and they were serving hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, baked beans, and cookies. It was a nice set-up because it gave us an opportunity to meet other families with diabetic children etc. The boys had a good time but they gave us a couple good scares. The deck area we were on had a back ramp that lead down to the wall around the field. Nathaniel kept trying to run off and we were constantly chasing him. We got talking to a family about their daughters recent diagnosis and when we looked down Nate was gone. We looked all over the place and he was no where to be found. I was about to have a panic attack when we found him down at the wall by the field. Thankfully he had not climbed over the wall or he would have fallen right onto the field.
Aubrey & Eli were enjoying playing in a grassy area right beside the deck. We could see them from where we were standing but when I glanced over Eli was gone. (This was about 10 minutes after we found Nate!)Of course Aubrey had no clue where he went. So off we went again on a frantic search. We walked all over the place until finally I spotted him walking around in the crowd out in the far section of the stadium. Thankfully he was wearing one of the extra large free T-shirts which fit him like a dress so it made him stand out a little. He claims he went to our table and we were gone so he went looking for us in the stands! Talk about a panicked Mom. Thankfully God was watching over both boys and they were safe!
Just a reminder..... If you want to sponsor our team in the Walk for a Cure you can send a check made out to JDRF to us or you can donate online by going to this link
